North Dakota's economy is a tale of two industries — Bakken oil and Great Plains agriculture — and tariffs pressure both differently. The state's agricultural sector is among the most export-dependent in the nation: North Dakota is the #1 producer of durum wheat, spring wheat, sunflowers, dry edible beans, flax, and canola.
